Are meals provided?

We serve hot breakfast, lunch & 2 healthy snacks.  Our food programs are USDA APPROVED for your childs health and nutrition.  We follow NC food program guidelines and regulations for healthy meals.

 

Will my child have a substitute teacher at any time?

We arrange for and provide qualified substitute teachers only if absolutely necessary.  All substitutes are quality licensed childcare teachers or providers and have experience working with children.

What is your schedule for the day?

Preschool hours are from 7am-5:30pm, before care hours are from 6:30-7:30am, and after Care hours are from 2:30pm-5:30pm.  Parents can also view all scheduled activities and trips on our calendar or take a look at our daily schedule for daily activities.

How can parents get more involved?'

We encourage parents to visit, participate in special projects, and accompany us on field trips.  You are always welcome.  We prefer that you to let us know in advance when you would like to participate in events.  Parent / teacher conferences are held once a year or on an as needs basis.  Please also ask for conferences if you have concerns.,,We also send home a weekly progress report (Monday folder) for you to review each week and may contact you regarding any issues.  Please contact us if you have anything you wish to discuss.

Check your weekly report for information about events, projects, or special notices.  Our goal is to unite with our parents to help children grow & learn in a safe, fun environment.  Parents should model family values, help us to treat the children with respect, and communicate with your children regarding expectations.

Do you have a talent or hobby you would be willing to share with the children such as reading or your career?  Do you have a suggestion for how we can improve?  Let us know!  We want our caring parents to stay involved.

Do you take educational trips?

We have educational and fun trip including museums, firestation, children's concerts, movies and more.

What are the advantages of home daycare?
  • GROUPS ARE SMALLER: A smaller group means your child is more likely to get the one-on-one interaction he needs and deserves.
  • PLAYING AND LEARNING WITH OTHER CHILDREN: A nanny can't offer the interaction children gain by being with other children. Actually being around children of other ages can help your child to feel more a part of a family.
  • HOME CHILDCARE CAN BE MORE WELCOMING: Sometimes a larger center can be institutional and your child can seem like just another child. Similar to private schools, your child feels more welcome and gets more individualized attention and hugs.
  • WE'RE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Your children will get to know some of the children close by. Some of these children your child will know all of her life.
  • COSTS ARE LOW: Our prices are usually 10 - 25% lower than most centers.
  • FLEXIBILITY: We are typically open more often than other facilities.
  • ANGELICA'S QUALITY: Unlike some home centers, you get the educational quality and experience of a center with a homelike comfort. We actually teach preschool, so your child will be ready for kindergarden.
    • What kind of play areas do you have?

    Your child has access to over 9 PLAY CENTERS and are also equipped with many areas of outside play and children have daily scheduled times to explore outside activities.

    How do the flexible payment plans work?

    With our flexible payment plans, you can pay either weekly, biweekly, or monthly.  This makes it convenient for you, depending on when you get paid.

    How can I get free weeks & what is the tell a friend program?

    You get a free week of tuition when you tell a friend about Angelicas Childcare.  If your friend remains with us for at least 2 months, you get a FREE week of tuition. So, tell someone about us!  Send an email, call, or leave a message on facebook.  We are dedicated to children so we want to give everyone the opportunity for a great start.  With our unique "Tell a friend program," you can get a FREE week of childcare!  It's like free money.

    What about safety procedures?

    Angelicas Childcare regularly receives SIDs, First Aid, CPR training for your child's safety.  We also conduct monthly fire drills for your child's safety and so that your child can learn fire safety skills.

    What age children do you accept?

    We accept preschool children from 12 months old to school age children 12 years of age

    When are your HOLIDAYS?

    Our Holidays are similar to NC State government: New Years Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, Good Friday,Memorial Day, July 4th / Summer Break (5 days), Labor day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), and Christmas (5 days).  Also view our evernts calendar.

    What if I need help on the website?

    Do you accept vouchers or subsidies?

    We support the NC Child subsidy programs. Just remember that when utilizing subsidy payment programs that payments should be send directly to Angelica's Childcare center.

    Are you a licensed facility?

    We are licensed with the North Carolina Department of Human & Health Services, Division of Child Development and have over 15 years of experience working with children. We maintain detailed regulations and standards according to the laws governing licensed facilities.

    Are field trips offered?

    We regularly take field trips to enhance education and to expose children to new, exciting, and fun experiences.
